Dear Wyatt,
You are 18 weeks along this week.
You are a blast, little one!
Long ago are the days I used to be so nervous about taking you out with us. The other day we took you to the mall with us and you were so good. You look around at everybody and everything, totally oblivious to the fact that you are supposed to be taking a nap during your normal nap time!
You are so vocal with your little coo's of delight, but sometimes you just like to holler and be a little mouthy too. For instance, when you got bored in a store at the mall, you would do a bored little wail as if trying to tell us "Alright, on to the next one."
You still hate tummy time, but the mirror on your activity mat seems to help for the first couple minutes. You get so mad doing tummy time that you completely break down and sink your head onto the floor and just full-belly wail. You will have tears in your eyes and be so mad that it takes you a minute or two to recuperate once we have you back up. We want to see if you will roll on your own, but you get so mad on your tummy and even lying on your back now that all we can really do when you aren't napping is to sit or stand you up, or put you in your jumper. You will lie on your back while you are asleep, getting your bottle, or on your activity mat, but you protest any other time.
Silly baby. You are still really into watching the TV from your jumper too. This past weekend there were monster trucks on and you got mad when I changed the channel!
Everyone who meets you calls you a "big boy" or even a "linebacker". I don't mind at all, I think it makes you even cuter to be such a chunky-butt! It amazes me how far we have come from weight checks to "linebacker". I can't believe 4 months have come and gone. Tomorrow we have our first appointment with the pediatrician, Dr. W, that we have had in a couple months.
Allie said he told her to start Lilly on some rice cereal when they went to their 4 month checkup. I know you are ready - am I?! You watch us eat with such curiosity. You laugh when I put a bite in my mouth and go, "Mmm!". I've given you nibbles of rice cereal here and there, and you seem to be warming up to it. I'm just worried about the constipation!!! You love your 1-2 daily poops!
Love,
Momma
