17 Weeks

Dear Wyatt J,

You are 17 weeks old and I absolutely adore you. I don't remember what life was like before you, but I don't miss it. Life is so much better with you in it.

At 17 weeks, you are gnawing on your hands like there is no tomorrow. You chew on everything! Spit rags, the nipple on the bottle, your stuffed caterpillar, a teething ring...pretty much anything that comes near your mouth you "growl" at and try to gnaw on. Yesterday your Sophie giraffe finally came in the mail and you love putting that toy in your mouth. Except you still would rather I hold it for you!

You are so curious about your surroundings and what is going on around you. You love looking at books and the TV. You love watching us, especially when we eat, we even put you in your highchair for the first time and you were perfectly happy being at the table with us watching us chow down on dinner.

You had a busy weekend. We had a lot of family and friend time over the weekend. We had 2 BBQ's Saturday and then Sunday had visitors over.

You loved spending time with everyone, and everyone was so happy to see how big you've gotten. Colton and Jessica hadn't seen you since you were 5 days old and had taken your first "professional pics".

Today is your Grandpa McKinney's birthday. He is a great man. I cannot wait for you to get to know him!

  2. He is absolutely precious! :) Congratulations. So glad you found my blog - I love keeping up with mamas with babies close in age to mine! So fun. I really wished the early baby days away because they were tough... but it's amazing HOW fast they flew by. Oh and also, love the John Deere onesie! We live in Moline, IL -- where John Deere is from! :)
