3rd Official Ultrasound

Dear Lil Boop,

Today was the 12 week ultrasound where they check for the nose bone and neck fat to scan for Down's Syndrome. The US tech told us everything looked great!

It is so crazy how much you have grown! And what was hilarious was that you were WIDE AWAKE and bouncing around, kicking your legs and waving your arms all around. You wouldn't even hold still for her to listen to the heart beat. It would skip beats where you were jumping around away from the probe. You even had the US tech laughing because you were so springy. AJ said you must have been doing the macarena or hokey pokey.

I was feeling AWFUL this morning, I was sweaty and my head hurt and I felt like I was going to throw up, but you had no problem, Lil Boop. We met with Dr. W after the ultrasound and she is going to see me back in 4 weeks to feel and measure my tummy. The next ultrasound isn't until November 9th - our 20 week ultrasound when we find out your sex and marvel at how much you have grown. I look at the calendar and cannot believe I have to wait so long - 8 weeks to see you again! I could stare at that monitor all day.

It's a rainy Wednesday and I am laying on the couch with the puppies. I wish I could stay here and pop in a movie, but I have that Echo and an appt with Dr. T the Cardiologist in a while.

I think I am going to take a quick nap though, so I will write to you later.
