26 Weeks / 6 Months Old

Dear Wyatt,

You are 26 weeks this week and turning 6 months on Wednesday!

This past Saturday was Mizzou Football's debut in the SEC vs the Southeastern Louisiana Lions and they had a 62-10 victory! I put you in your Mizzou Tigers apparel and you gave me a big "game face" to post on Facebook that earned over 50 likes :)

You have this new "snooty face" that you do. It is absolutely hilarious.

You are so full of attitude.

At 26 weeks you are eating oatmeal and trying out soft/mashed up foods like mashed potatoes off your Grandpa's spoon. You screw up your face every time you taste something.

You are also crazy about your feet still. You grab onto them and make them "dance" in the air while you are lying on your back.

You are also really into being put on the floor and just sitting and playing with all your toys (and trust me, we have plenty of toys to keep you entertained!).

Someone always has to stay close by you because you still teeter over after a while.

You are a happy baby and the weather is getting more and more fall-like and it makes me excited for Halloween and all the fun fall things to do (bonfires! jump in leaves! carve a pumpkin! weenie roasts!). I am so excited about all the holidays with you.

You are cutting a tooth finally! All that hard work is paying off!

Based on this picture, it is your lower central incisor on your right. I felt it in your mouth and when I looked in I saw a little white line. Your gums are bothering you so much lately that we've had to give you some Tylenol or a teething tablet here and there.

Yesterday your Grandma Betsy came over to visit with you. It had been a while since you'd seen her because apparently she has been working a lot.

She kept you entertained while I took down the 6-9 month outfits in your closet and replaced them with 12 and 18 month clothes.

Another thing we are going to need soon is a new carseat. Your current one is so hard to get you in and out of. I worry about pinching your leg every time I strap you in.

I can't believe you are already so big and in a couple days we will be celebrating your half-birthday already!

Love,
Momma
