Today marks your 28th week here with us. My little Monday morning baby.
You think you are so big now! Your 2nd tooth is coming in, the central incisor on the bottom left. So now you have 2 little teeth poking through.
I've found that you are more receptive to solids if I sit you in your high chair and you "eat dinner" with your daddy and me. I take a bite, you take a bite. I take a bite, you throw something on the floor, try to attack your bowl of oatmeal, then take a bite. But hey, it's working.
You are also trying to be a big boy and drink out of a sippy cup. You don't want your momma to help, you want to do it yourself, and sometimes you actually do it!
This past Wednesday was the first "Baby Day" at our house. Allie brought Lilly, Danielle brought Audrey, and Robin brought Bentley. I had gone to the store and bought meat and cheese for sandwiches, 3 kinds of breads, along with chips, dips, grapes, and desserts. Mommy always goes a little overboard.
You and Lilly are the older babies and Audrey and Bentley are still pretty brand new. It was awesome to watch you and Lilly interact. You were obsessed with her shoes and her feet, while she was a fan of tugging on your ear (which you did not appreciate!).
Lilly is a couple weeks older than you, as you know, but she is so very mobile now! She is crawling around and is always going going going! You were looking at her and had this look on your face like, what do you think you're doing?!
It was a lot of fun. You were a little overwhelmed at first and then took a good nap while everyone was visiting, which surprised me since you are always so nosy. Everyone seemed like they had a good time. It got the older babies interacting and it got the newer moms out of the house (maternity leave can suck the life out of you - true story!).

Now I sometimes really wish I could stay home with you every day. It's amazing to work all day Monday and Tuesday and then on Wednesday it's me and you and it seems like you are always doing something new. Any day now you are going to crawl. You sit up so well now and can entertain yourself. I remember the days when you wouldn't lay your hand on a toy and now you can't decide which one to play with first!
On Sunday you and I went to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure down by Mizzou Arena. Allie, Kari, and I had formed a small team along with Allie's family. It was a beautiful morning for it. It started out pretty cool and since you didn't have any hats that fit your daddy let you borrow one of his!
I pushed you in your stroller and you fell asleep at Mile 1! After the race, we went back home and both took a good nap. When we got up, we all went to Menard's and then to eat at Lone Star. You sat in a restaurant high chair for the first time. Before you had always been content with sitting in your pumpkin sit next to me in the booth, but now you are such a big boy you are over that! You did great and played with your toy and watched us eat.
Wonder if this week is the week you will crawl? We will see :)
Love,
Love,
Momma
