36 Weeks

Dear Baby Wyatt,

This week you are 36 weeks along, which means you are the size of a coconut!

Mommy looks like this:

All of your systems are working as they should. You are still perfecting your immune system and gaining weight, about an ounce a day.You should be over 6 lbs by now and 18.5 inches or longer. You are shedding your vernix caseosa, that waxy substance that's been protecting your skin in your 9-month-long bath.

I feel you moving in a different way now, no more jabs and quick, sharp movements. Your movements now are strong and slow andI feel like you are cramped in there. Your butt shifts around from the left to the right and I'm still feeling you high into my ribs. You haven't descended yet, so I'm still having trouble breathing and eating. Oh, and the heartburn!

Heartburn is kickin' it full blast now. I thought I was eating Tums like candy before, now I have to look at the bottle to see how many I can have in a 24-hour period and try to keep track of how many I've eaten.

I'm waddling, which isn't new for me, but I guess it's that end-of-pregnancy waddle that is prominent in the 9th month. It's not that I've-got-a-fork-stabbing-my-ass waddle I had with the sciatica or that If-I-take-one-more-step-I'm-gonna-fall-over waddle that I had before she put me on bedrest.

Sleep sucks and I cat-nap throughout the day now. Monday I watched the first two Harry Potter movies and fell asleep in the middle of each. Yesterday I went and got my nails done and walked around Hobby Lobby for a minute and came home and crashed for a couple hours. NO energy.

Bedrest is awful. HATE it. But know it's for a good cause.

I am excited today because I have a 9:30 appointment with Dr. T and then at 1:30 we have your second biophysical profile and then go see Dr. W afterwards to have another "check" and discuss induction.

Gotta leave now to go see Dr. T! Will post how the day goes later!

Love,
