33 Weeks

Dear Wyatt,

You and I are at 33 weeks this week and you are about the size of a honeydew! (You feel much, much bigger...)

You weigh about 4.2 - 5.8 lbs and are about 17.2 - 18.7 inches tall. You could grow up to an inch this week alone.

At 33 weeks, you are keeping your eyes open while you are awake. You are coordinating breathing with sucking and swallowing. Your bones are growing harder and you are still having major brain development - smarty pants!

Mommy sucks at life. No, seriously. Mom is miserable.

Hot. Hot. Hot. Sweating while I'm sitting here blogging.

Uncomfortable. Even being in bed or coming home and lying on the couch isn't comfortable or relaxing anymore. I toss and turn all night. I wake up feeling sore. I tried taking a bubble bath the other night and couldn't get out fast enough.

Heartburn.

Can't catch my breath.

I want to cry in the mornings thinking about being at work, waddling up and down the halls pulling heavy patient carts, moving patients over, running the 2 miles to the back for supplies. I sit as much as I can, and some days that's only when I am eating lunch.

I'm peeing ALL the time. The other morning I peed 3-4 times before I left (after waking up 3 times during the night to empty my bladder) a couple times before I started my work day, and in between every case that day. I'm so tired of seeing the inside of the bathroom stalls at work I could scream.

I can't think. I can't remember anything. People will be talking to me and I have to really focus on what they are saying. AJ has had to tell me multiple times to make the house payment. I finally did today 7 days late. Yesterday the surgeon asked me to turn the overhead spotlights on brighter, so I promptly got up and turned them off and sat back down :/. Luckily the people I work with have been taking pity on me. And if they don't I just show them my ankles.

"Why do you have padding in your TED hose?" my scrub tech asked me.
"Those are actually my ankles," I replied.
"Oh...my....God."

My hands are going numb now. I wake up with them numb and tingling and it usually goes away by the time I get to work. Today I haven't fully regained feeling in my right hand yet and it's the afternoon.

This past Saturday was my 25th birthday! On Friday before the weekend Kari got me a cake for everyone in the OR to enjoy:

It was so yummy and moist I ate my piece right up! When I went to leave work that day the entire cake had been eaten.

On Saturday, AJ asked me what I wanted to do since it was my day. What I wanted to do was go to Babies R Us in Chesterfield and pick out a stroller, so that's what we did:

Lil Pimp-Mobile
It plays an iPod ;)
Lil Pumpkin Seat
I tried a couple of them out, but ultimately decided on a 3-wheeler because they seemed easier to maneuver. This stroller folded up nicely and included a car seat and base for the car. It also plays an iPod. And yes, I did push the stroller around the house playing "Pimp Juice" by Nelly.

After Babies R Us, we ate at an Italian restaurant and then drove back home to eat cake with Matthew and my Dad.

Dad always decorates a cake for AJ and I to celebrate our birthdays that are 8 days apart. After spending time at Dad's, we headed over to Momma T's where I finished my birthday partying like a rock star:

Okay, maybe not.

On my birthday, Mizzou beat KU in their last rival game in the same conference. Even though we were in Chesterfield for the day, AJ and I still wore our Mizzou gear to represent COMO.

32 weeks, 5 days
25th birthday
Jessica: 25 years old
Wyatt: 32 weeks, 5 days
Sunday was the Superbowl and the Giants beat the Patriots. Mommy fell asleep in the middle of the game but I can tell you that Madonna did the halftime show and she was trying very hard to pretend to be young. Wonder if she will still be around when you are older, Wyatt. I imagine her to be half-human, half-robot at that point.

I suffered through these past couple days at work and today was my day off. I met up with Kari and Allie at G&D Steakhouse. Allie had her 38 week checkup today with Dr. W and she has an end in sight! If baby Lilly is not here yet, Allie is being induced February 19! I'm very excited that Allie is so close to being done with pregnancy and getting to meet baby Lilly. We've been Belly Buddies this whole time and I'm glad that her end is in sight because that also means mine is getting closer too. It's been great to have someone to complain with, bounce ideas off of, and share the ups and downs of pregnancy.

After G&D, we went next door to get our nails done. I got a pedicure and it felt so good to be sitting in a massaging chair, having my feet soak in the bubbling hot water, and having my tootsies rubbed that I wanted to cry.

"You feet so swole!" the woman taking care of my feet exclaimed. I think she rubbed my feet a little longer than usual. :)

I didn't want it to be over, but I'm feeling better with a fresh coat of pink paint on my toes. My toenails were long and scuffed up and I couldn't bear the thought of bending over and trying to take care of them. Wyatt, you get pretty pissed when I squash you from bending over. You start jamming your feet into my ribs or pushing under my xiphoid when I'm bent over picking something up.

I stopped at Marshall's since it's on the way home and picked you up a couple things:

I've been eyeballing the duck tub and it was only $8 at Marshalls! It quacks too.
Your daddy played the sax in marching band, so I had to get that as well. It plays 4 sweet tunes.
And well, I found some more ADIDAS booties!
They had ADIDAS hats for baby girls, but none for boys! If anyone finds a baby boy ADIDAS hat, please pick it up for me and I will buy it off you. The last time I saw one was before we knew if Wyatt was a boy or girl, so I didn't get it. I wish I would have!

This weekend we are going to Springfield to stay with Colton and Jessica. Colton is going to be taking some maternity pics for us. Not his usual gig, which is stuff like this, but it's going to be awesome and I'm thankful we will be with someone that will make me feel comfortable. I take horrible photos, so there's no telling how I am gonna look in these now that I am the size of a hippopotamus, baby Wyatt.

I'm feeling lousy and tired, so I think I'm gonna lie down before your daddy gets home.

Love you baby.
