32 Weeks

Dear Wyatt,

This week you are 32 weeks along. I still cannot believe we have 8 weeks left to go. You are still about the size of a squash, maybe growing an inch or so this week. Momma has grown 36 lbs as of today. Let's hope I don't get any heavier, as my goal was a 35 lb weight gain for this entire pregnancy! I have a funny feeling I am not going to plateau off with 8 weeks left though...

You were so low when I took this pic - you had been on my bladder ALL DAY at work!
This past Friday was your daddy's 25th birthday. It's hard to believe we've been together since we were 17 years old. AJ takes an entire week to celebrate his birthday. The words, "But it's my birthday!" were said several times in the past week. To which I had to reply, "It is NOT your birthday yet!"

Since we are trying to save $ lately, I had him go ahead and pick out his present instead of buying him another crap-tastic gift as I usually do on my own. Turns out Sears was having one hell of a sale on Craftsman toolboxes, so he picked this out and put it together that night:

He cleaned out the garage and made a place for it as well. AJ is Mr. Fix-It. I swear he can fix anything (and if he doesn't, he does a great job of rigging something up and fooling me!). I was just satisfied that I got him a decent gift this year.

After a steak dinner at Lone Star Steakhouse, we stopped at Moser's to pick up a cake for him:

Umm, delicious. I can't believe we found a brownie cake with a "Happy Birthday" on it. We dove right in with our forks.

On Saturday I was on call. I got called in from 4:30ish - 9:30 PMish after lounging around on the couch all day watching horrible HBO movies. At least when you are on call you don't feel like such a loser for staying home on the weekend, because as soon as you go to do something while you are on call you ultimately get called in. Just the way it works!

While I was at work getting call pay, AJ and Momma T went to the mall to make a return. When I got home that night, I was greeted with Chicken McBites and an Oreo McFlurry. Freakin' awesome.

I found out yesterday I am scheduled to take call up to my 38th week pregnant. Sick! After a semi-meltdown/tantrum (and deleting several emails to the call coordinator), I spoke with my supervisor and she is going to pick up that call day for me. She seems to think I'll be out by then anyway. Even if I am not, the thought of being 38 weeks pregnant and on call for 24 hours makes me want to cry. I feel very lucky this far that some nurses have felt compassion for me and have taken call off my pregnant hands. I won't forget it, and plan on doing something special for them!

Allie, pregnant with Lilly at 36 weeks and me, pregnant with Wyatt at 31 weeks after a longggg day in the OR
As you can see, mommy is a little puffy after just a 10 hour shift! Lemme tell you, baby Wyatt, it has been interesting being a pregnant nurse. Some days I come home and am so swollen and drained I cannot even think. Other days I come home and all I can do is laugh thinking about you and I waddling around the OR, thinking how in the hell did we make it though that hell of a day? Sometimes I want to cry thinking about having to wake up the next morning and doing it all over again. I love my job, but I am definitely ready to go back to being non-pregnant and a little more functional!

Biscuit and Wyatt
As you can see, Biscuit is pretty clingy. He likes to lay next to my belly a lot. Sometimes he wants to use my uterus as a step to get on the back of the couch and that doesn't work out too well. I'm still curious on how you guys are going to respond to one another.

This past Sunday, AJ and I snagged Momma T and went to the Carter's Outlet at the Lake. I got you a shirt, some teething toys that you can cool in the fridge, and an outfit to get your pictures taken in when we take you home! We also stopped in at a few other shops. At the ADIDAS outlet, we found an outfit for you:
If you know AJ, this outfit was a MUST
I remember AJ wearing ADIDAS back in middle school, and I bet he was wearing it before then. I cannot wait to get a picture of you in this outfit and your little ADIDAS booties!

Today I had my check-in with Dr. W. My blood pressure, weight, and urine were all great. She dopplered my tummy and I got to hear your heart beat in the 140's. She asked about how you were moving around (I told her you were tap dancing on my ribcage - she said that is a great sign!). I showed her my ankles and she told me to keep wearing the TEDS and that she was okay with that amount of swelling. I see her again in 2 weeks. At 36 weeks I believe I start my once-a-week appointments. Getting close, baby!

Kari came over today and highlighted my hair. I am so thankful, my flat-brown hair was depressing me! It looks so much better, wish I had done it sooner!

Love,
