43 Weeks

Dear Wyatt,

You are 43 weeks old this week.

Today is New Years Eve and tomorrow we will welcome in 2013. I got the day off today because census was so low, so you and I have been hanging out. I am thankful I got to stay home. It has been snowing since this morning and the roads are bad. Also, I'm sick. And I am never sick, so when I am sick I am a huge baby about it. Luckily you wanted to take a nap shortly after your dad left so you and I curled up in the bed with Biscuit and slept for a couple hours.

My letter was late to you last week because of Christmas happenings. Not a lot has changed. Your Grandpa came over the day after Christmas and played with your toys with you.

We also went to Springfield this past weekend to see Colton and Jessica. You did absolutely wonderful the entire time, even the car ride there and back. We ate at Freddy's and you insisted on leaning back and looking at everyone upside down the entire time!

AJ and I were thinking, this is new! It was cracking everyone up. After I posted the pic on Facebook, Liz told me you two had been playing around like that on Friday. Even though I can't spend every day with you, I am glad to know you are learning different things and getting new experiences from your Gramma T and Liz.

It was a quick one-night trip to Springfield. You slept great in the guest room with me while your daddy and Colton played out in the garage til 2 AM (or later...). The next day we ate at Cheddar's and stopped in Bass Pro before we headed back to Columbia.

When we got home I gave you a bath and wrestled you to bed. You still don't want to sleep because you don't want to miss a thing.

Your daddy and I have no big New Years Eve plans. We have always treated New Years Eve like it is overrated anyway. And now that the weather is bad and I am sick as a dog I don't see us doing anything special.

I have made some resolutions, but they are the same as every year. We will see how long I last this time!

Love,
Momma
