40 Weeks

Dear Wyatt,

You are 40 weeks old this week. That's as long as a full-term pregnancy! (Except you didn't want to wait that long, my 37-weeker).

Over this past week you have gone from sorta-crawling to full-on crawling! It's like you have been crawling for weeks! And you are FAST. Yesterday I was out of breath chasing you around. You were into the dog bowel, the Christmas tree, trying to get my laptop cord. 

You are fearless. You will try to climb up anything, be it the TV stand or even the wall. You got your first bruise from falling on my watch. You were standing at your activity table and I was trying to take a picture of you standing up and then BOOM you fell. You fussed a little but you were over it. You are more concerned with getting into everything now that you are mobile. 

You chase me and your daddy around. And you pull up trying to get to us, especially on the couch. 

And now that you are mobile what better time to have the Christmas season? I ordered a tree for you and it came in this past wee and spent Wednesday night putting it up. You were trying to help, but then opted for your bouncer so you could holler and bounce. You LOVE the tree. You stare at it and reach for the lights. You like to sit by it when you play with your toys.

I'm so excited about your first Christmas! Everyone keeps asking what they should get you. What do you get the boy who has one of everything? ;) 

Things you are loving this week: 

Crawling

The Spongebob Squarepants theme song 

Sleeping in our bed (damn...)

Chattering (rahhrahhrahh and maybe even a maaaamaaa)

Patty-caking

When someone sings the ABC's

Peek-a-Boo

Trying new foods (like baby cookies!)

Things you are not liking so much this week:

Apple Juice (or FRUITS in general)

Sleeping in your crib

Getting things taken away (like a laptop cord)

Your Jumperoo (you don't want in it as long anymore)
