Hello Mr. Wyatt,
You are 5 months old today.
At 5 months old you have been sleeping though the night for a long time now, since you were 7 weeks old. We have had to upgrade to a Sleep Sack and you haven't minded. We usually put you to bed in your crib awake and you have learned how to fall asleep on your own. People tell me how lucky I am that you are such a good sleeper, and I agree, you have spoiled me. I have given you a kiss every night since you were born, with the couple exceptions of you staying the night at your Grandma Lorrie's.
You are also: turning towards sounds, passing objects from hand to hand, and laughing.
You are a curious baby, and you are interested in new surroundings and people. When we push you around in your stroller at the mall, you are very serious about looking around at things. Recently I started taking you in your jogging stroller on my morning runs, and you are just so interested in being outdoors.
You are definitely not shy when it comes to meeting new people either. You know your mommy and daddy though, and light up like a Christmas tree when we walk into the room. You are very talkative with your ooh's and coo's and we always respond to you as if you are telling us a story.
One night this week we had to go have your daddy try on a tux for a wedding we were both in this past weekend. While we were out, we decided to go out and eat since you are awesome out in public. We ate at the 63 Diner and I realized we had taken you there when you were a week old, and were 21 weeks old when we took you there. I snapped a picture and compared the 2 side by side. You look way different!
Also this past week: Danielle had Audrey! :) Congrats Danielle & Luke!
Yesterday our friends Corey and Mandy got married. AJ was a part of the groomsmen and I was a bridesmaid (we even got to walk together!). Your Grandma Lorrie watched you for us since it was an outdoor wedding and way too hot to have you out and about. Your daddy and I had a blast, I gave the toast at the reception, but I missed you like crazy. There was another couple there that had a 7 month old boy that I had to hold because I was having baby boy withdrawals. :)
I wish I had some pics to post to show you how nice your mommy and daddy can clean up!
Today is your 5-month birthday but also your 2nd-cousin Beau and Bryce's 7th birthday! My Aunt Julie invited us out to Chuck E. Cheese's and since we had to drop the tux off anyway, we picked up a couple gifts and headed over. Chuck E. Cheese might as well be renamed The Gateway to Hell, so we didn't stay long because all the nonsense was wearing you and your dad's nerves thin. But the pizza was good! Julie made sure you got a goody bag and a balloon since all the other little kids got one. You weren't interested in anything but the balloon, so I have it sitting by your Jumparoo and you bounce and squeal at it.
Anyway, I still can't believe you are 5 months old. It seems like the time has gone too fast but I'm also enjoying watching you grow into such a big boy with a matching personality. I can't describe to you how much I love you and how happy you have made your dad and I.
Love,
Momma
