A lot has been going on this week! First of all, your daddy and I celebrated being together for 8 years this past Wednesday, on October 5th! I cannot believe we were juniors in high school when we finally got together. We had gone to school together since 6th grade (when I was a head taller than him and looked like a boy and he wore Limp Bizkit t-shirts and was a little husky - love you boo!), had band together (where I loved to listen to him play his sax from my flute section), "went out" with each other for a couple of weeks the summer after 8th grade (which basically meant he called me a couple times and it was super awkward), flirted constantly in high school (especially in marching band, where I would spend Friday nights at football games trying to pinch his butt), and then boom! Finally I had the courage to go up to the grocery store where he worked and passed him a note that said "call me" with my phone #, and the rest is history. We were inseparable. *sigh*... I got really lucky. No relationship is perfect, but I thank God every day that AJ is in my life. I am a lucky girl, I really am.
We didn't do anything big on our anniversary because my dad had surgery on Wednesday, so I spent my day off at my work in a waiting room, on the patient family side of things. I prefer my side of things - being in the OR, knowing what's going on at all times, but I think it definitely helps me become a better nurse by being in the other set of shoes from time to time (which hopefully I don't have to do again for a long time!). His surgery went well and he got to go home the next day. He is doing awesome and if anything is a little stir crazy from not getting to work on the farm while he is off work!
On Thursday, Allie found out she is having a baby girl!
Congrats Allie and Devin, Lilly is going to be absolutely precious! I obviously don't have a future in predicting the sex of babies, since I have had a success rate of 0% now :/. Which means I am not even trying to guess what you are, Lil Boop, because it will be completely wrong. Although I did tell Allie that whatever she was having I was going to have the opposite because our pregnancies have been completely different! I am so jealous that she knows her baby's sex because she can actually start putting the nursery together and everything, which I am so ready to do!
Everyone keeps telling me boy, boy, boy, but on my poll to the right -> girl votes are winning! I guess we will find out in a month's time!
Friday I was on call and didn't have to work late and didn't get called back in. I was dead tired, which I always am when I am on call. One of these nights they are going to call me at 2 AM and I am not going to know what to do with myself. It will be like having a zombie come to work. The Cards beat the Phillies and now we are playing the Brewers in the playoffs! Except we lost our first game tonight, ugh.
On Saturday, yesterday, AJ took me to St. Louis to the Zoo since I have been wanting to go see the animals forever now! The weather was perfect, parking was horrible, and we had a blast walking from exhibit to exhibit. My favorite was the hippos, they got so close to the glass!

We had a great time, and afterwards we stopped in St. Peters to eat at Joe's Crab Shack. We got back and spent the night at my dad's. Today we went to Momma T's and AJ fixed her car window and we all sat on the porch talking and enjoying the weather.
Fantastic week, can't complain. Week 15 down, Week 16 starts tomorrow!
Love,
