48 Weeks / 11 Months Old

Dear Wyatt,

You are 48 weeks old this week! And 11 months old today!

You love to say "momomom" and "dadada". You are also starting to say, "Bababa." I'm not sure if you are talking about your bottle or not.

You are FAST. You crawl on a mission and have gotten into every drawer and cabinet in the entire house. You unroll toilet paper and try to flush the toilet. We even have to feed the dog in secret because you are into his bowl.

You tried hot dogs this past week and you liked them a lot! You are trying more and more solid foods and it is so fun to see you try out all the new tastes and textures. A lot of time I just throw what we are having for dinner in the food processor with a little water and you eat meatloaf or Hamburger Helper along with us!

You are SUCH a big boy! I really don't realize it until we are out in public and we see other little ones. Kids will be 2-3 years old and you will be much bigger than them! It is so funny. I had gotten some baby leggings online on sale and they came in. I tried to fit them onto your chubby legs and they wouldn't fit - so not to be defeated I am using them as arm warmers. :)

On Saturday Momma T came over to watch you while your daddy and I went to a painting class downtown at The Canvas on Broadway. I had a BLAST! It had been years since I had painted and after a few Moscato I was a regular Picasso ;) I really liked the laid-back setting and the ease of the class. I definitely want to go back - and take you when you are old enough!

The Superbowl was on Sunday. Your daddy and I aren't huge football fans, but we do watch the Superbowl when it comes on. It was the Ravens vs the 49ers (Ravens won). Beyonce did the halftime show, but you were already pooped-out for the night to even care.

Yesterday was your momma's 26th birthday! I had to work, so we really had my birthday the day before on Sunday when your Grandpa McKinney came over with cake and ice cream and you and daddy took me to the mall to get a new pair of shoes I had my eye on.

My day at work was not so much fun, but I got to come home to a smiley baby, so that works for me. Your dad had taken off work because Momma T came down with the bug everyone seems to have. He took you to the mall with him and you both picked out a card for me. You even scribbled in the card you gave to me!

Since it was my birthday I decided to try taking a relaxing bubble bath. Well, you weren't having it. You wanted to get in the water too! You hollered at me from outside the tub, threw cups and Johnson & Johnson bubble bath at me, and reached in to splash the water.

I decided it wasn't going to be much of a relaxing bath, and plus I was laughing too hard at you. I got out after maybe 5 minutes. You and I shared some more cake and ice cream, then fell asleep in the chair together until daddy moved you to your crib and I moved to the bed.
