49 Weeks

Dear Wyatt,

You are 49 weeks old this week, little buddy!

You are such a little squirt! And we have big news, on Sunday 2-10-2013, you took your FIRST STEPS! You took 4 little steps trying to come get a toy from me, then toppled over on your bum. I am so happy I got to see it! I texted your daddy, who was working in the garage. He immediately hung up on Colton and came running in, but you were done. And that's been it for a couple days.

Lately you are really into the poppity-pop elephant. You like to bite his nose while the air is blowing and you will even take the balls from his nose now and throw them and chase them down. You are also really into playing ball as well. You and I will toss a ball around for a while. You are so cute! You set up and clap the ball for a while and get really excited, then toss it! Sometimes you throw it straight up and it bounces off your head, but no worries it is a bouncy ball. :)

You have really gotten into your sippy cup - you drink your flavored water out of it. You wouldn't drink plain water and Dr. W told us to stop the juice - so I added some Mio one day and you love it! You have a favorite sippy cup - it is blue with a red top.

You also love to brush your teeth. You will pick up your toothbrush and toothpaste and carry them around. I'll put the toothpaste on the brush for you and you'll brush your chompers and chew on the bristles for a while. It's cute. I'm glad by baby has such good hygiene!

Recently I got a blanket from my dad that was a blanket we had in the back of our car growing up. My brother and I would sit on it in the back, we used it for years and years until we were no longer little and riding in the backseat going on trips. It's a polka dot blanket on one side with bears on the other side. The last time we were at my dad's he asked if I wanted it so I snatched it up, washed it, and laid it down in the living room for you to play on. Well, it's over 20 years old! I think it's pretty neat.

Your hair is long. It is all over the place and starting to curl in the back. Sometimes it looks like it has red in it, which happens to your dad's hair as well.

You have begun to put your fingers to your lips and "blip" your lips - "blub-blub-blub" all day long! It's so cute though - it makes me laugh!

I am starting to think about your birthday party. I am planning on throwing it the following Saturday, which is March 9. Your Aunts Mel and Stef already RSVP'd and are coming. It is going to be barnyard-themed I believe. I am already trying to think about food and refreshments. I know I want you to have your own cake!

Love,
Momma
