You are 46 weeks old this week.
You are a chatterbox. You babble while you are playing or holler when you are looking out the window. You respond to me with "mamamama" or answer a question with "Uh?!". When we redirect you (from trying to unroll the toilet paper in the bathroom, for example), we pick you up and you kick your legs and yell at us. Sometimes you will have a temper tantrum and break down until we distract you with something else.
I finally had your dad rig something up to block you from the TV and DVD player. After spending my ENTIRE Tuesday off pulling you out of it, I wouldn't allow him to leave for work Wednesday until we had some solution. His answer? Bungee cords and the old stairway gate (now that we have a swinging gate for the steps). It keeps you off of the glass and pushing buttons on the DVD player. You pulled up on the gate a few times, but then you were over it.
We will need to get you shoes when you start walking. We have had so much trouble getting shoes that fit - or they only fit one week and not the next. We took you to the mall to get your foot measured and the girl said you are a 5 1/2 and that you have a really wide foot. We tried shoe after shoe, but nothing would slide on. We finally found a pair of 6 wides in an Adidas shoe that actually fit, but your daddy wanted to me to try to find a different color online (the ones in the store were blue...).
You have been sleeping from 8:30-9:00 all the way to 5:30-6:00 lately. Then eating a bottle and sleeping again until 7:30. Such a good baby! Although you did wake us up at 3:30 AM last night and daddy got up with you and gave you a bottle and slept in the chair with you. Once you wake up in your crib you do NOT want back in it. I could work with you more on that, but I feel blessed enough that you are at least back in your crib now!
Your daddy turns 26 on Sunday. Not sure what we are going to get him yet!
Love,
Momma
