Just look at that big ol' milk belly! And how much you have grown!
You and I are definitely having conversations now, and you get so happy when we do it! Your breathing speeds up and you get so excited.

2 Month Checkup
Today was your 2 month checkup with Dr. W. You are 23 3/4" long (up 2 3/4" since birth) and in the 75th percentile. You weigh 14.5 lbs (up 7 lbs - doubling your weight since birth!) and are in the 96th percentile. Dr. W's nurse "K" called you a "big boy". You were being really fussy, as if you knew why we were there!

Dr. W said your weight was fine for right now. He asked about your eating, your poops, your sleeping, etc. He cauterized your belly button with a silver nitrate stick because you had a scar that had grown out instead of in. You HATED that. He told you that wasn't going to be the worst of it.
K came in to give you your vaccines. There was an oral vaccine you took through the bottle nipple, then you had 3 shots - 2 in one thigh and 1 in the other. You SCREAMED like you had never screamed before, you were so unhappy! We were able to feed you immediately to help calm you down, but you were still pretty mad. I felt dizzy because I think I had been holding my breath!
After the appointment, you and I came home and I gave you some Children's Tylenol and you have been sleeping most of the day. You were waking up every hour or so and only eating 1-2 oz, which isn't like you. I feel so bad for you, little one! But so far so good, no diarrhea or vomiting. And I heard some babies get really fussy after their shots, but you've just been tired. Sweetheart.

Weight Loss
Momma finally did it and lost ALL her pregnancy weight!!! All 39 lbs of it! I thought it was going to be really tough, but with the breast pumping and running around like a maniac that first month with no sleep and not eating half the time I dropped most of it. And with the myfitnesspal app on my phone I was able to get those last 2 snarky pounds off. I still need to drop weight but it's helping me to calorie count, I make those calories count instead of just eating like a frat boy (like my 8th-9th months of pregnancy!). Andy's Frozen Custard every night for one straight week!
I'm wanting to find some healthy recipes so I've been looking on Pinterest and whatnot. I really just need easy, simple recipes to throw together or I won't cook. I know this about myself and I'm okay with it. Any suggestions for good sites/recipes would be appreciated! I'll share ones that I try that are yummy.
Anyway, enough about mommy.
The other night you rolled over for the first time! You were doing tummy time with dad like you do every night and we glanced at something on TV and out of the corner of both our eyes we saw a lot of movement - and you had rolled up onto your side! You held there for a moment trying to kick the rest of the way over, and after a few attempts, you did it! We were so impressed, your dad was beaming, and you were wondering what all the fuss was about. I think you are going to be on the move early!
Here I caught the FIRST smile during tummy time! Before you always made it seem like Tummy Time = HELL, but lately you have been tolerating it a little better and even cracked quite a few smiles for me!
Your Grandpa Steve still comes to see you every Thursday night. Your Grandpa McKinney you mostly see on the weekend. Your Grandma Lorrie usually sees you once or twice during the week and on the weekend. Lately your Grandma Betsy has been stopping by more often too.
The other day your Grandma Betsy, me, you, and Biscuit took a walk around the neighborhood. Well, it was HOT. You were over it, Biscuit laid down not once but SIX times, and mom and I were sweating, but we all made it home in one piece somehow! Once we got home, Grandma Betsy read you a story called The Temper Tantrum Book. We felt it was appropriate after our outing!

On Saturday, Cinco De Mayo, you turned 2 months old! To celebrate, I went to Target and bought you a Kick n Play Gym. You love it! You knock the dangling animals around and you play the piano with your feet and look up at yourself in the mirror. It was definitely a good investment!
It has been so hot lately, which gets your momma ready for the water. I've been worried about swimsuits this year because of my stretch marks. I know I want a 2-piece so I'm looking into tankinis. I'd rather be in a bikini but maybe next year when the marks fade a bit. Not gonna stress over it though, it was all worth it. I found this image on Pinterest and saved it to my phone to share:
Love it!!
Please vote!
Also, here is a video of you smiling I meant to post. You were 8 weeks old:
Love,
