You are 11 Weeks Old!
You are starting to sleep 8 hours at night, which is the longest you have gone. You are awake during the day a lot with one big nap in the afternoon (that you always try to fight off!). If someone had told me a couple months ago that Wyatt would be sleeping 8 hours at night I would have told them they were a crackhead.
You were pretty fussy this past week during the day. A couple days I tried walking outside, inside, tried the swing, tried feeding, tried burping...I was about to stand on my head! You would not stop crying for a while and would spit up bad when I tried to feed you. I don't know it it is because your routine is different now that I'm back at work or if you are getting ready for teeth or what! But you gave Momma T, me, and Liz a run for our money this week!

You are really into playing now, less cuddling unless you are sleeping. I have mixed emotions about that! You love playing on your activity mat - you swat at the dangling animals, stick out your tongue at the baby in the mirror, and play the piano keys with your feet. You enjoy your swing A LOT too. You talk to the baby in the mirror and watch the birds spin around. In your crib, you are enchanted by the mobile and on your changing pad you gaze up at the poster of the giraffes. You LOVE playing with your daddy, and he is excited that you are playing back with him now too.
You are so vocal now! You and I have this game where I say "Hoo" and you look back at me, get excited, and mimic me with your own little "hoo"! You have also said "boo" and "goo". When we talk to you, you are getting to where you want to respond. In fact, I try to get a conversation going with you several times throughout the day. You talk to the baby in the mirrors as well.

You have this new sound when you get excited too - I think you are trying to laugh. I cannot wait to hear you bust out into a full blown laugh! You tried to mimic my laugh the other night, it was a surprise to both AJ and I.
You recognize people. Your eyes widen and you break into a big smile. You turn your head to find people and follow people as they walk out of your line of sight.

Physically, you are still quite the chunk. You haven't found your hands yet but you are getting close. You like to sit up now (with our help of course!) and look around at everything. In fact, sometimes sitting you up to let you look around is the only way to soothe you. You can hold your head up for a very long period of time now, which is great because everything is interesting to you. Your Grandma Betsy and I wanted to see if you would watch cartoons and you actually did for a little bit!

We still haven't moved you to your crib yet, just because of me going back to work and us trying to settle into some form of routine now. You sleep so well at night in your bassinet and I love having you right there near me. I think when you turn 3 months is when we'll try the switch the crib.
Pics on your 11th week:
Love,
Momma
