25 Weeks

Dear Wyatt AKA Lil Boop,

This week you are 25 weeks along and I cannot believe we are in month 6 and 3 weeks away from entering the 3rd and final trimester. You are about the size of an eggplant this week....wowza!
You measure in about 13.6 - 14.8 inches and weigh about 1.5 - 2.5 pounds. By now you have a sense of equilibrium - you know which way is up and down. You are also getting chubby and growing more hair this week. (Hey, so is mommy!) Your arms and legs have grown to the proportion they will be at birth. Your plugged up nostrils have cleared out and you are able to "breathe" amniotic fluid.

Mommy is still having one major complaint - backaches. It used to be at the end of the work day, but the past few days I notice I'm already waking up with pain - even this past weekend. I have been having trouble sleeping and when I try to move positions I get a back spasm beyond belief. At work, I am waddling by the end of the day. Just this past Friday in a span of 10 minutes I was teased by 3 different people about my speed waddle. Momma's trying, but damn sometimes it really aches!

Also, the leg cramps at night are waking me up! Pregnancy leg cramps are yowza!

This past weekend AJ and I registered at Target for you, little one. We had a good time scanning items to put on the registry, but we were unsure on what all we would need and in what amounts. We made sure to register for the very basics - diapers, onesies, bottles, etc. A link to our registry is here: Wyatt's Registry

Your daddy and I spent the weekend with just each other and I absolutely loved it. Like I said, we made a registry, went on a dinner date, went Christmas shopping, cleaned out the office to make it actually look like an office (nesting?), and caught up on a couple movies we wanted to see. It was relaxing and it was just what I needed. Your daddy was great with the Christmas shopping - he was patient with me because I was slow and near the end I needed to sit a bit to rest because I was achy and feeling hot and dizzy. On Sunday we went to the store and AJ made this amazing vegetable soup/chili concoction that I can't stop eating. Overall, we just spent the weekend enjoying each others company and preparing for you - and it was fantastic!

One of the best moments of the weekend was Saturday when AJ got to feel you kick for the first time! I was lying on the couch and my tummy was going crazy with your kicks. I got AJ to come over there and we put his hand on my belly and BOOM you gave out a few good kicks and his face lit up like a Christmas tree. It was the best moment ever. It made me tear up a little. :*) Before then, every time I tried to get him to feel you he would come over and you would become shy all of a sudden and not kick. As I am sitting here typing right now I feel you doing your little workout in there.

Love,
