Shopping!

Dear Lil Boop,
Yesterday AJ, Momma T, and I went to Babies R Us in Chesterfield to look at things. The store is HUGE and I finally got to see and touch cribs, beddings, stollers, playpens, high chairs, and more. It was so much better than looking online. And I still cannot believe that Columbia is so crappy when it comes to baby stuff.

My main goal was to pick out a bedding set. It was hard to do. The girl sets are way more diverse (and there was an owl set for a girl that was to die for!) when it comes to design and color. For boys it was: jungle, cars/trains/sailboats, pirates, and sports. I walked around and picked up blankets and considered this and that, finally settling on the Baby Cocoa theme.

(bumper is in the very back, quilt on left, blanket on right, mobile on far right)
We weren't able to get a crib because we took the car, but that is the next thing on the list! I pretty much wanted the bedding so that I could get a theme started so I can paint the walls and start buying things to coordinate. The walls are currently a periwinkle color that looks more purple than anything, so the color is going to have to go! To get $50 off the bedding set, you had to buy 3 matching accessories, so we picked up the fuzzy blanket that's on the right, the mobile on the far right, and a soft giraffe blanket (not pictured). So it was like getting the mobile free. Also not pictured is the dust ruffle, valence, and diaper hanger bag. Once I get the crib and nursery more put together I'll update!

We ate at Joe's Crab Shack afterwards, it was Momma T's first trip there and she had a good time. We then headed back home and visited at her place for a while. AJ found a couple of his stuffed animals from his childhood while we were at Momma T's, so we brought them home and laundered them and they will go to you, Boop. :)

AJ's monkey and puppy
AJ just informed me the monkey was his first toy, and Momma T told us last night that it was in the crib with him. AJ said he remembers picking out the puppy later on.

We left Momma T's and headed to Wal-Mart to pick up a couple things. I made my way to the baby section and found a diaper bag for $15 I couldn't live without:

Today I'm going to try to motivate AJ to go with me to buy paint, but we will see :)

Also in the works: BABY NAMES. We have pretty much settled on the first name, but we are still in discussion (and at a current deadlock) on the middle name. As soon as were figure it all out we will announce it, which hopefully will be soon because I am ready to start calling you by your name, Boop :)

Love,
