Dear Lil Boop,
This week you are 21 weeks along. You are the size of a banana!
Here is your momma -
I've definitely got a belly now, although it is still pretty easy to conceal in OR scrubs. People are starting to touch it and say hello :)
Your daddy and I are still in talks about a name for you, although we have pretty much settled on a first name we are still talking about a middle name.
This week you are producing meconium - which comes out in your first diaper and looks like tar. If your daddy didn't read the blog I would probably keep this from him and let him have a nice surprise with the first diaper change! :)
Otherwise, not too much going on this week. I spent my day off today cleaning like a madwoman - to the point where when I finally took a shower I barely had enough energy to shampoo my hair (let alone shave my legs...). I went to yoga this morning and looked like a cow in the mirrors. I couldn't keep my balance at all and the littlest things were making me out of breath. I kept getting charlie horses in my legs and hips. I felt so embarrassed, like the instructor's eyes were on me and she was thinking, what the hell are you doing here, sea cow?
I watched the last Harry Potter movie today. It was very good and surprisingly I didn't cry, which was why I was avoiding it in the first place. Sad to finally see the end of the series, but they did such a great job with the movie I am satisfied. I have all the books and am going to buy the Complete Collection on Blu Ray when it is actually in stock in the store (I've been looking, but all they have is the complete collection on DVD). I'm going to read to you a lot, Boop. My mom said she used to read to me a lot - and I have always loved books. I would go to the library and get stacks and stacks of books because I would go through them so fast. I still love books, just don't get a chance to read as much anymore, or I'm too tired. I think the last book I read was The Help, and that was a while ago. I used to have a collection of Little Golden Books when I was younger, but my mom sold them all at a garage sale, so I am going to have to find them on eBay or something so that I can have a collection for you too, Boop! (And this time I won't sell them at a garage sale...)
Daddy is making dinner and the house is spotless and I think I keep feeling you move around in there, but I am still getting annoyed at this computer because it keeps acting up, so I am going to get off of here now before it continues to ruin my mood!
Much Love,
