38 Weeks

Dear Wyatt,

You are 38 Weeks Old this week.

My Handsome Man on Thanksgiving
Last week was Thanksgiving, and I had 5 days off in a row to spend with you. For your first Thanksgiving, AJ and I invited his side of the family to our house. Your Great-Grandma Cheryl, your Grandma Lorrie, your Grandpa Steve, your Aunts Melanie and Stefanie, and their spouses Mike and Jim came all showed up. Your Great-Grandma made the turkey and AJ and I made the ham, mashed potatoes, corn, stuffing, and pecan bars. It was your Aunt Melanie's birthday so we celebrated that with a cake for her. It was a great day and you were wonderful, but extremely fussy that night. You didn't want to miss out on anything and go to bed.

Feed Me Turkey!
The next day we spent at your Grandpa McKinney's house. It was just him, us, and your Great Aunt Diane, but it was nice. We ate another round of Thanksgiving dinner. Your Grandpa McKinney was trying to feed you sweet potatoes, but you weren't in the mood. You were pretty tired from the big day before I believe. You finally took a nap and I laid next to you and watched Frosty on TV thinking about how I am so thankful to you have you.

The next day I was on call and spent the day cleaning around the house. Your Daddy and Grandpa Steve took you up to the gun show at the Boone County Fairgrounds. AJ put you in a front baby carrier and toted you around. I wish I could have seen it! AJ said you were great - you were interested in all of the people and all of the surroundings.

The newest thing you are doing now is pulling up to your activity table! Your daddy and I were talking in the kitchen and all of a sudden AJ turned to look at you and said, "Oh goodness." I thought something bad had happened, but you had pulled yourself up to play with your table. We were both impressed!

You can roll and army crawl all over the place and go from the flat to sitting. We really have to keep an eye on you now that you are so mobile. You like to go over to the TV and try to pull up on the TV stand, which is going to pose a problem. We really need to start working on baby-proofing out house!

You are still loving your puffs and I introduced you to Mum Mums this past week (like a rice wafer) and you like to gnaw on those as well.

This weekend is your 9 Month Pictures. I went and bought you a Christmas outfit for those today after I went to the salon. Your Great Grandma Darlene watched you today for me. I also ordered a Christmas tree for you. I hope it comes in soon so we can get it up. It's a 7.5" pine with clear lights. I looked all over the Internet for the perfect one for you!

Love,
Momma
