36 Weeks

Dear Wyatt,

You are 36 weeks old today. My 8 month old is getting so big and independent!

You are all over the place! I don't know how you do it since you aren't crawling yet, but whenever I look at you you are across the room and usually getting into something you don't need to be getting into!

There is no stopping you and I'm pretty sure once you start walking it is going to be GAME OVER in the Terrell household. You are up on your hands and knees and you do a lot of bouncing, but still no crawling forward. Also, you've been trying to pull up on the couch lately and right now your favorite toy is an activity table. I have to help you stand by it, but you absolutely love it.

Your daddy got his wisdom teeth taken out finally this past week. He has needed them out since he was 18, but didn't have insurance at the time. When we married in 2009 and finally got insurance, he made excuse after excuse about not getting them taken out. They kept breaking and getting infected. Finally I took matters into my own hands and scheduled the surgery and drove him up there. He did really well the first day and has done surprisingly well this whole time. Unfortunately he is experiencing numbness on the left side of his face, which was a big possibility because his roots and his nerve were so intertwined. I'm hoping he recovers soon because I'm tired of him complaining about eating mashed potatoes!

Yesterday the family on my mom's side had an early Thanksgiving-ish Sunday dinner. But basically it was for the family who hasn't met you to get to meet you. There was food and people everywhere. You were such a  good boy and only fussed a little when you got hungry. Your second-cousin Beau loves babies and he was attached to your hip from the moment you came in the door. It is surprising to see such a little boy take an interest in a baby - and he was so gentle with you too!

Thanksgiving is coming up. I wonder what you'll be doing by then! You babble so much now having conversations with us, or the dog, or your toys. I love listening to you. You say "Mom" and "MaaMaa" a lot, but I don't know if you mean me or not. The day you look at me and say "Momma" I'm just gonna lose it!

Love,
Momma
