37 Weeks

Dear Wyatt,

You are 37 weeks old this week.

As you can tell, you are FULL of attitude.

You are on the go-go-go all the time. If you are awake, you are rolling/bouncing/scooting/eating/ exploring/laughing/crying/playing. When you wake up from a nap, I mentally tell myself, "And we're off!" You fight sleep, you hate the playing and exploring coming to an end. And even though you have only taken a couple brief "crawls", you somehow manage to get into everything and all over the floor. I can see baby gates and baby-proofing in our near future.

You are such a happy little dude, until you are tired or (we found out recently) if there is another baby around. The the temper tantrum begins! Recently, Baby Audrey came over to our house since her sitter was ill. It was just for about 5 hours and my grandma came over as backup since you are 8 months old and little Miss Audrey is only about 3 months. You were NOT happy about her being there. You hollered at her pretty much the entire time. And I had to forget about holding her - you were so jealous! You yelled and slammed your fists down and kicked your legs until grandma and I traded. So funny :) You were fine once her mommy came to pick her up!

One moment of you not yelling at Audrey
You are really into baths, eating at the dinner table when other people are eating, bouncing in your jump-a-roo (still), playing with a ball, clapping your hands (and now your feet too!) and eating puffs. You LOVE puffs! Especially the sweet potato ones. They are made for babies and just dissolve in your mouth, but you treat them as if they are a four-course meal. You go "Ommm...nommmm....nom...." and just enjoy them immensely.

Some nights you wake up in the middle of the night. You are never up for long. You either want to get in bed with me and your daddy or you want a bottle. You won't ever get back in your crib, though. You cry and cry and even though I swore up and down I wouldn't put you in the bed with us, you love it and sleep so well. Plus I love cuddling with you! You are so warm. I took a picture of you in your swing this past week. You are way too big for it and it really needs to go into storage, but I thought it was adorable that you passed out in it just like when you were a little newborn.

This week is Thanksgiving and AJ's family is coming over on Thanksgiving Day. I need to seriously clean the house and hopefully get some side dishes cooked. We'll see how flexible you are with me getting some serious cleaning done!

Love,
Momma
